Stop the Jologization!
STOP SHOWING JAPANESE DRAMAS/ K-DRAMAS or T-DRAMAS and murdering them brutally by fugly translation, disgusting voice overs and voice talents. These artist do not deserve to be murdered and fucked over by you. Yes, I am mad. VERY MAD. In fact, I am about to grab those who had the idea of showing these WONDERFUL SHOWS on Philippine TV to the masses with ugly voice acting. If you want to do it, then translate them properly, get better voice talent ( you have the money to) and give due respect to the artists who did these dramas.
I am still in tears and shock of the way Ikuta Toma ( Hana Kimi Japan’s Nakatsu) was played here. I am shuddering at the thought of Matsumoto Jun and Matsuda Shota as well as Oguri Shun’s Filipino Demise. Then, there was gokusen, which I was so lucky not to watch. I would have cried harder.
Then again, they said GMA is showing 1 Liter of Tears ( a series VERY close to my heart), Nobuta wo Produce, Kurosagi and Stand Up. ( I really dont want to think about it) .. ONEGAI! do them justice.
These shows are wonderful, yes. They need to be shown to greater audiences, yes. But the dubbing is bad, translations even worse. Just do it in ENGLISH. It sounds better.
But my poor JE boys will now have hoards of ugly stupid fans. *I know some already* who claim to be the goddess of their fandoms, unknowingly boasting of their expertise which they have no idea what they are talking about. I have been in this fandom for a long time now. I still dont claim lordship over my fandom.
There are things that I keep as pet peeves. One of them is I HATE STUPID FANS. Theyre popping up everywhere! In Livejournal, in school, in friendster. I am really getting tired of them. And there is one that is unfortunately a MatsuJun fan and is a friend of Sunny who now knows my number and keeps texting me the stupidest stuff.
STUPID FAN TEXT #1: Marikit, did you know that I am friends with MatsuJun in Friendster?
Me: orz…. x.x I am dead from this text. I wanted to kick her and tell her that it was a fake. It took 3 days for her to realize that I was right and that she has been fooled.
STUPID FAN TEXT #2: Marikit, OH EM GEE. I think my pren has da address of MatsuJun! She sed dat she emailed him and he replied.
Possibly the automated fanmail service. Or a fake. >.> took me another 4 days to calm her down on this one
STUPID FAN TEXT #3: Marikit, YOU LIED! matsujun replied on me in friendster.
I QUIT.
First of all, I tried to tollerated her. She loved MatsuJun after seeing him in Gokusen and Hana Yori Dango. Fine. She did a little research about Arashi. That’s also fine. But she calls her self The Goddess of MatsuJun wisdom and that I know nothing. Given that, I am not a big MatsuJun fan, I know enough about JE that woud prove her wrong.
This sort of thing is happening again in ikuta_toma@livejournal . Excuse me for saying this. But I feel ashamed by the influx of STUPID FANS and to think that they too are filipino like me and a few fans that I know who loves toma just as much but are not as bad. I know I will come off as a royal bitch. But I think, what I am trying to protect here is not only the fandom but the quality of people here in LJ. I stayed in LJ this long because I know people here are very smart, they at least have respect and have built their admiration for these idols slowly throughout time. Not one of them claims to be a GODDESS of wisdom and they always credit one another when they find something new.
The are smart enough to know that information that they are sharing is precious and would delight and help other fans grow in the fandom. There is nothing wrong of course in finding new friends, but there are different avenues for it such as friendster, myspace and forums that have groups dedicated to this idols for casual friendships.
We are not called fangirls for nothing. We do fangirl and we do sometimes do it in the most inconspicuous manner. But , many can tell you that screaming and telling everyone that he’s so cute is not the only thing we do. we appreciate them, we learn about them and get to know them as much as we can with the capabilities that we have. We show our appreciation through art, literature, video and more. most of all we respect them as people and not only as objects of lust. (though I know many will react, you know what I mean). I am tired of the people who think fangirls do nothing. But in fact, we are a community that shows appreciation in the most unique ways.
So if you plan to be a fangirl of anyone at all, please do it because you respect them and not because you lust for them only. Give your fandom dignity. Do not be trashy and stupid. You have a brain use it.
If I be flamed for this, so be it. It is my 2 cents on the matter and my honest opinion. i am not a SINLESS FAN i plead guilty to some of the things i have said and maybe have done worse, but i leared from it and now respect the fandom with all my heart. BRICK ME, BASEBALL BAT me or STAB ME WITH SOMETHING IF YOU WANT. I wrote this in my own corner of the net. So there.
